A PARTNER FOR SUCCESS
Following an extensive and competitive evaluation process, Monolith chose to build its first commercial manufacturing facility in Hallam, Nebraska. The Olive Creek Plant needed a location with stable and low-cost electricity, access to an abundant supply of natural gas, a strong rail network and a partner to use the plant’s hydrogen co-product. Few locations met these criteria, and only one offered an industrious and innovative workforce that aligned with Monolith’s pre-existing values: Nebraska.
The total capital investment for phase one of Monolith’s Olive Creek Plant will be significant, as would be expected when creating a world-class, first-of-its-kind manufacturing facility. What’s more, if market forecasts and demand remain as predicted, Monolith will develop an adjacent facility (phase two) to meet growing marketplace demand.
Monolith currently has a team based in Lincoln, Nebraska, and plans to hire approximately 50 people to be a part of the Olive Creek Plant Phase One Operations Team. The jobs created to form this team will vary in skill type and experience level, as the positions that need to be filled cover a wide range, including plant operators, maintenance service technicians, engineers, lab technicians, administrative staff and a plant manager.

PLANT LAYOUT AT SITE
The Olive Creek Plant will occupy approximately 10 acres of space during phase one, with phase two expanding to approximately 40 acres.
We broke ground in October 2016 and the plant is expected to be mechanically complete in 2020.
SITE OPERATION CONTRACTORS
Monolith’s Olive Creek Plant is expected to be operational in 2020. In addition to the Monolith employees who will operate the plant, various contractors will be needed to support the plant’s operations, including security personnel, grounds keepers and janitorial workers.
